We are looking for someone with a real passion for design to join our ever-growing, dynamic team of kitchen designers.
Newcastle Furniture Company has become synonymous with distinctive style and understated quality; something our designers are taught and become highly skilled in perfecting for every customer.
Your job will involve:
- Offering great customer service in the showroom as well as answering and directing telephone enquiries.
- Interpreting customers' room drawings and requirements to create kitchen layouts using Drafsight and quotes using MS office.
- Leading design meetings in our showroom or via Zoom, working under pressure to ensure customers leave with plans.
- Managing your own base of customers from initial inquiry through to an order being placed.
- Working with our project management team to take a kitchen from design drawings to manufacture and installation.
- Working with all our designers to keep the quality of design, service and product impeccable for every customer.
We would love you to:
- Have a creative qualification and passion for furniture or interiors.
- 1-2 years of previous design experience.
- Be excellent at organising and prioritising your time.
- Have minimum GCSE grades (or equivalent) of A-C in English and Maths.
- Have experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Enjoy working with others as part of a team.
- Have a great eye for detail, a flair for design, and a desire to create exceptional work.
- Prior experience of using CAD software.
This is a full-time role based at our London showrooms, with the requirement of working up to 1 Saturday a month.
We offer a competitive salary based on experience and during your first year you will receive training in the role and performance appraisals where your pay will be reviewed.
After this we offer annual pay reviews and continued support from the team.
You will receive 22 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) which can increase with length of service and experience, as well as life insurance, a wellness program, cycle 2 work scheme and company events.
